Do Something Epic!

I don’t care if you’re caught up in taxes, or still recovering from Christmas. Well, I do, but what I’m saying is… You got to look to the future. Don’t get stuck in today. You need to think big, you need to act big. The only way you’re going to get out of the rut that you’re in is by positive thinking. So many are worried about what will happen in Iran, worried about gas prices, worried about housing prices and yes jobs. Well, my advice is similar to that which you hear on the radio. You gotta live within your means, you gotta get out of debt, and you gotta dream. Sure it may sound like it’s easier said than done, but I say… create the motivation. With all the junk going on in the world, some people stop dreaming. When they stop dreaming they get stuck in their ways. They start staying in the box. They become the man in the box …living life day after day with no real hopes and dreams. They think that life sucks, because it does… but in many ways, they’ve created that H for themselves.

I’m happy to announce my new blog. For many years I’ve been told I need to write about my travels. I have done some of that in this blog, but was always a little reserved to just fully jump write articles on my travels. Some made me feel like it would depress them and such. Well, the design of my new travel blog is designed to inspire. I’m not holding back at all. I’m going to share the travel in a big way. You may be someone who sits in a cube all day long and with the two weeks of vacation (sorry if you don’t have vacation) you end up doing the same two trips every year. There’s that trip to the national park, or to the Disney Park, and then there’s that trip to see family where you may see something on the way. Some see no way out of that. I’m here to say, that’s because you aren’t thinking outside the box. You think I’m special, but you can be special too. You don’t have to live in France to get more vacation days. For example, you could convince your boss that you should be rewarded and go to that SharePoint event in Costa Rica, London, or who knows… Bulgaria?!

My call to action here is Do Something Epic! Break out of those chains that hold you bound. Do something amazing. Maybe it isn’t travel, maybe it’s art or music! You have to do something that makes you happy, and will push your limits. You don’t have to be that guy that wakes up and goes to work just to come home watch some TV and then go to bed for 50 weeks, then 2 weeks you do the other normal thing that you are expected to do.
