Mobile Explosion in Phoenix AZ and Boise Idaho

Joel Oleson September 22, 2015 2

I’m speaking in Phoenix at the upcoming SharePoint User Group. Looking forward to meeting everyone! I’ve been tracking all of the updates to mobile in the Office 365, SharePoint, and general Microsoft world for Android, iOS, phones and tablets. It’s not the same world we use to live in. Here’s some detail on the session I’ll be delivering.

Mobile First: Office 365 Mobile Explosion Demofest

Have you seen how much the mobile world has changed for Microsoft?  Have you explored the new Mobile Device Management features of Office 365?  Microsoft has produced so many new apps in this cloud first, mobile first world. In this mostly demo only session we’ll dive into the variety of new Office 365 and SharePoint mobile apps created for Android phone and tablets, iPhone and iPad.  In this session delivered completely on an iPhone and Microsoft Software you’ll get exposure to a dozen different Microsoft applications including a drill down presentation into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and the new Office Family of OneDrive, Delve and Sway… as well as the associated Apple Watch Microsoft apps… It’s a new Microsoft world of Mobile.

Bring your phones and tablets to this one so you can play along!

Join me in Boise Idaho at SharePoint Saturday

I’m also delivering the session in Boise Idaho at SharePoint Saturday Boise. Very excited to see Idaho joining the SharePoint Saturday fun. Few of you may know that I grew up in Burley / Declo Idaho. So it’s great to see SharePoint impact in Idaho so close to home. As a junior in High School I visited Boise as a Boys State delegate, and on our 4th grade field trip to the zoo. Great memories of Boise.

I plan to deliver Office Mobile 101 with an intro to the Office 365 MDM as well as an intro session to SharePoint 2016. Hope to see you there!

Joel, good stuff! Love the approach and the topic is perfect for you as I know you’ve been following mobile for years now. Great work!

Thanks Paul. I don’t think people believed Satya when he said the MS focus was Mobile First Cloud First. There’s more to be seen from MS in both of these areas. Great progress!
